ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – “Exposition takes place every Friday morning at Our Lady & St Peter’s between 09:00-1:00pm.  Come let us adore Him.”

REFRESHMENTS – Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St. Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS – The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate. Please consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS – can be taken out at anytime throughout the year.  It is a valuable source of additional income for the parish with no extra cost to the parishioners.

HOLY WEEK WARNING –  Parking will be difficult on Good Friday & Easter Eve as the Flying Scotsman is in town.  Come early.

MASSES BEGIN –  either at the back (Vigil) or in The Hall (9 & 10.30).

HOLY THURSDAY/MAUNDY THURSDAY  –  9am Morning Prayer  &  8pm Holy Thursday Mass OLSP. Midnight  – Night  Prayer.

SPECIAL COLLECTION  –  Good Friday – for the Holy Places.

GOOD FRIDAY WITNESS – 11am on 14 April in the High Street. The Cross and Procession leave Trinity at 10.30am and will be at Moat Church  opposite OLSP at 10.40am for those who wish to join in at these points in the town.

EAST GRINSTEAD CATENIANS  –  The East Grinstead Circle of the Catenian Association will meet at the Dorset Arms, High Street, East Grinstead on Monday, 10th April at 8.00 p.m. (a week earlier than normal due to Easter). Members are also reminded that there are still spaces available for the Provincial Darts Tournament in Brighton on Friday 21st. The Catenian Association is an international brotherhood of practising Catholic laymen who meet socially, at least once a month. CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE –  Wednesday 12th April. We will meet in the Church at 6:15 for 6:30 for Stations of the Cross.  Please note different time.  Following that we will continue our business meeting in the hall.

OUR LADY & ST PETERS LUNCH CLUB  –  meet on Wednesday 19th April at 12.15 pm for our Easter Celebration lunch.  Please ring Ivy (323240) Jean (311295) or your driver if you are unable to come, we like to know the number to cater for.

PARISH 100 CLUB  – Congratulations to winners in the March draw: 1st, £50, no 84, Mr & Mrs T Sikorski; 2nd, £25, no 109, Miss Wells; 3rd, £15, no 75, Mr & Mrs Mulhearn.

MISSIO NEW RED BOX HOLDERS  – If you are a new holder of a Red Box and have not received a mailed letter, please will you collect a named envelope from the church table at OL&StP.

STANDING ORDERS  –  Thank you for these.  They help the Churches here in East Grinstead and Lingfield to pay the bills as they are regular.  However, charges and prices go up.  If you have not reviewed your standing order for a number of years it would be appreciated if you would consider increasing it.

STANDING ORDER ENVELOPES  –   are awaiting  collection at the back of the church.

SAINSBURY’S ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS  – Thank you for these delivered to the box on the church table at OL&StP, they will all be passed to St Peter’s School.

CHRISTIAN  MEDITATION GROUPS – EAST GRINSTEAD AND WORTH ABBEY –  We are now having a break for Easter. ROSARIES WANTED & FATIMA BIKE RIDE  –  Do you have a spare rosary at home that could be passed on to somebody else to use?  I am getting together a display on the Fatima Apparitions to mark the Centenary (May 13th) and will have rosaries available, in the spirit of the Fatima Message.  I will also be undertaking a sponsored bike ride to Fatima in the summer, in support of the World Apostolate of Fatima and pro-life causes-more details shortly. If you would like to donate a rosary, please hand to me at Mass, Tel. 315484, or leave in an envelope addressed to me at OLSP.  Thank you.  Les Whittaker.

LONDON MOON WALK  –  Mary Thomas  and her daughter Karla from St. Bernard’s and Teresa Ruttley from OLSP are participating in the London Moon Walk on 13th May 2017.  It’s the length of a full marathon (26.2 miles) and takes place at night.  They are raising money for Breast Cancer.  Mary and Teresa both work together at the Queen Victoria Hospital as Twilight Nurses and have known each other for many years.  Having worked with cancer patients both felt supporting this Charity was a great cause and it is a one off event.  If you would like to sponsor us please either see us after mass or use our online links.  Thank you.

EG FOODBANK –  requires donations of the following; Small Easter eggs eg. Crème egg (no large eggs please due to storage issues), Jam, Tinned sweetcorn (small tins) Tinned pasta (hoops etc.), Pasta sauce (jars), Tinned fruit (peaches etc.), Tinned sponge pudding, Tinned custard, Tinned tuna, Tinned meat (meatballs, hotdogs).  Please leave at church or take to Jubilee Community Centre in Charlwood Road.
