Our contractor will return to the Church this week following some difficulty with supply of aluminium for the roofs which has delayed our project.
A machine will be temporarily placed to the rear of the nave on Monday 9th December, this will be used to form the sheet aluminium into sections to be installed on the roof.
The Church will be cleared for Sunday Mass on 15th and 22nd December but weekday Mass on Wednesday 11th and 18th December will be held in the Parish Centre.
The Parish Carol Service on Thursday 19th December is unaffected by the works.
The Church will be clear for celebration of Mass over the Christmas period and the Contractor will return to recommence operations on Monday 9th January – progress subject to prevailing weather.
It is anticipated that scaffolding to the front and upper elevations at the sides of the Church will be removed before Christmas.
Carpark resurfacing and any final remedial works will progress when roof works completed.
