Justice and Peace Group  –  meet next at 7.30pm on Tuesday 9 April at Moat Church.  Thanks to all those who donated rucksacks to refugees in Calais. LONDON MARATHON 28TH APRIL 2019  –  Aidan Cantwell is attempting to raise over £2,000 for the Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) UK.  JRS is an international Catholic organisation; in the UK it works tirelessly for refugees despite the increasingly hostile and isolating world we live in.  Its centre in London provides a sanctuary where destitute asylum seekers are made to feel welcome, cared for and valued.  To sponsor Aidan please go to

Easter Triduum Retreat for Young Adults (18-35s)  –  This Easter weekend, there will be a retreat for young adults at Worth Abbey Benedictine Monastery, celebrating the Passion and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. SUNDAY 28TH APRIL  –  PARISH SPRING LUNCH  –  at St. Bernard’s Church Hall, gathering from 12.30pm for lunch at 1.00 pm.  All arrangements will be as for the previous lunches: soft drinks will be provided but please bring your own alcoholic drinks; pre-booking is not required – just come along if you wish; there is no charge but there will be a voluntary donations basket.  Everyone is welcome – from all corners of the parish.

20p feeds a baby for a day!  Lingfield SVP are running a Family Race night on Saturday 11th May from 6.30 -10.00ish. Venue Jubilee Community Centre East Grinstead. Tickets cost £10 for a family of 4 or £5 per adult. It includes a Ploughman’s Platter and Ice Cream.  It will be an evening of fun and laughter with Children (of any age) riding the hobby horses and a licensed bar for the adults (soft drinks for the children).  By making this fun night a success we all reach out directly to the children in Sudan.  We need to know numbers a.s.a.p. and tickets are available from Lala (01342 327222) Angeline (01342 832665) or Enrique (07824 098276). INSPIRE 2019 – DAY FOR YOUTH LEADERS  –  ‘INSPIRE’ is the annual day for anyone who works with young people and young adults in a Catholic context, and anyone who is interested. It’s happening on Saturday May 11th at St Joseph’s Church, Redhill, 10am to 2.30pm. Tickets are £10. The day will include some time with the Bishop, as well as a series of presentations on important questions in youth and young adult ministry. A DATE FOR OUR DIARIES, LOOKING AHEAD  A lunchtime Parish Social is planned for Sunday, 16th June, in the Meridian Hall at East Court, East Grinstead,  and more details will follow nearer the date.

EG Foodbank – items required are biscuits, shampoo, cereal (small packets 500g), hand soap, rice 500g, razors (small packets), shaving foam, jam, tinned fruit, rice pudding, pasta sauce (jars) tinned peas and carrots.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE  – welcomes sleeping bags, blankets, and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when the Centre is full.  In addition tinned and packet food is welcome as well as coffee, tea and sugar.  Please leave donated items at the back of church at OLSP and St. Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes also be donated at both churches, or taken directly to COH at Three Bridges.  Tel: 01293 447702.
