REFRESHMENTS – Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St. Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.
WILLS & BEQUESTS – The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate. Pleas e consider it.
GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS – can be taken out at any time throughout the year. It is a valuable source of additional income for the parish with no extra cost to the parishioners.

Fatima Bike Ride – It is good to be back! I am pleased to confirm I reached Fatima, and prayer intentions were left with Our Lady there. Thank you again for your support. I will be at all Masses in the parish this weekend 19/20 August with a display showing images from the ride. Les Whittaker

EAST GRINSTEAD CATENIANS. The East Grinstead Circle of the Catenian Association will meet at the Dorset Arms, High Street, East Grinstead on Monday, 21st August at 8.00 p.m. The Catenian Association is an international brotherhood of practising Catholic laymen who meet socially, at least once a month. Love in a Box – both churches and St Peter’s School will be participating in this annual scheme which aims to help children in Eastern Europe. Leaflets will be available in October but in the meantime please save any shoeboxes with detachable lids for the scheme. Thank you.

Gardening at Crawley Life House – Are you in a position to help tidy up the garden at thehouse for mums and babies in Crawley – up to 3 hours one morning towards the end of August. Currently garden is not useable so any help will make a huge difference. EG Foodbank – requires cartons of 1 litre long-life fruit juice, small boxes of washing powder, deodorants – both male and female, small boxes or packets of tissues, small packs of toilet rolls, 1l cartions of long-life milk, soap, washing up liquid and tinned meat (eg hot dogs, meat balls). Bring to church or take straight to Jubilee Community Centre, or Sainsburys, Waitrose or Barclays Bank. Thank you.
CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE – welcomes blankets, sleeping bags and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when it is full. Toilet rolls, UHT milk, sponge puddings, sugar and tinned meat are particularly required at present but any tinned and packet food is welcome plus tea and coffee. Please leave donated items at the back of the church at Our Lady and St. Peter’s and at St. Bernard’s. Larger items, including duvets and clothes to be taken to OLSP, or taken directly to COH near Three Bridges in Crawley. Tel: 01293 447702.
