ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – “Exposition takes place every Friday morning at Our Lady & St Peter’s between 09:00-1:00pm. Come let us adore Him.”

REFRESHMENTS – Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS – The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate. Please consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS – can be taken out at anytime throughout the year. It is a valuable source of additional income for the parish with no extra cost to the parishioners.

Peace Vigil  -EG Justice and Peace Group is organising a Vigil for Peace from 6.15pm-7.15pm on Maundy Thursday at OLSP.  Please join us for prayer, music and reflection.

YOUNG PEOPLE’S PILGRIMAGE TO THE HOLY LAND OCT 2017 – Sacred Heart Parish in Hove is running a Holy Land Pilgrimage for 18-35s during October half-term 2017. It is open to people around the Diocese and will be a comprehensive pilgrimage, taking in areas including Galilee, Cana, Nazareth, the River Jordan, Mount Tabar, Capernaum, Jericho, the Dead Sea, Bethlehem, Jaffa and many others. A fantastic chance to make some new friends and to learn more about your faith in the land where it started! Easter Services  the sign up list for Readers and the Washing of the Feet, are at the back of the church. Please do sign up. You may sign up to read even if you are not on the rota, just leave a contact number.

MISSION TODAY MAGAZINE  – Complimentary copies of the Spring issue are available from the church table.

THE ADORATION GROUP  – thank you for the wonderful attendance last week during “12 hours with Our Lord” on Friday. Some 150 parishioners, family and friends joined in the day with many expressing how much they feel they gained from their hour or whatever time they could spare. Father Steven’s opening Mass and Reposing Benediction gave witness to the beginning and end of a very special day. Every Friday morning the Blessed Sacrament is exposed, do come and join us in Adoration at any time between 9:00 o’clock and 1:00.

Fairtrade Fortnight  – thanks to all parishioners who have supported the various Fairtrade events held locally. The young people going to Lourdes as Redshirts raised £150 on their Fairtrade Cake Bake and their Fairtrade Rich Man Poor Man lunch will be held on Sunday 13th. Please remember as all the Fairtrade banners displayed in EG and Lingfield say Choose products that save lives.

LENT BOXES – Parish lent boxes (to encourage your Lenten almsgiving) are at the back of the church. This is to raise money to help those going to Lourdes from our Parish. Please take one and return it after Lent.

PARISH 100 CLUB  – Congratulations to winners in the February draw: 1st  £50, no 122, Mrs Salmon; 2nd, £25, no 80, Mrs Mulhearn; 3rd, £15, no 48, Mr&Mrs Joy. With thanks to our members, the 100 Club has donated £1,600 towards the expense of new carpeting at St Bernard’s.

SAINSBURY’S ACTIVE KIDS VOUCHERS – Thank you for vouchers brought to the church. They will be passed to St Peter’s School who are collecting them for the benefits on offer.

THANK YOU re LINGFIELD SVP CAKE SALE – Many thanks to all who contributed to last Sunday’s SVP Lingfield cake sale. The proceeds of the sale and the extra amounts offered totalled £345, making a further much welcomed contribution to the SVP’s Dafur (Sudan) Baby Feeding Project. Thank you.

MAGNIFICAT – is published monthly and includes ‘Morning Prayer’, Daily Mass Readings, Evening and Night Prayer as well as details of the Saints lives, Religious Art and other prayers and Blessings. There are supplements published for both Advent and Holy Week which come with the December and Easter issues. CHRISTIAN MEDITATION GROUP –  We are now having our Easter break. Our next meeting will be on MONDAY 4TH APRIL, from 7.30-8.30pm in the Parish Centre at Our Lady and St Peter’s.  Please note the change of day and time. For more information, please contact Gabrielle Joyce on 326118.

OUR LADY & ST PETERS LUNCH CLUB    – will meet on Wednesday the 16th March at 12.15pm. Please ring Ivy (323240)  Jean (311295) or your driver if you are unable to come.

EAST GRINSTEAD CATENIANS – The East Grinstead Circle of the Catenian Association will meet on Wednesday, 16th March at Rowfant House, Rowfant at 8.00 p.m. Members are also reminded of the joint lunch with members of the Crawley Circle on Sunday 20th, also at Rowfant.  The Catenian Association is an international brotherhood of practising Catholic laymen who meet socially, at least once a month. FRIENDS OF THE HOLY LAND  – The AGM will take place in St Bernard’s hall on Sunday, 20th March, at 3:00pm. All are welcome, please see the poster on the church notice board.

Blessed are the Peacemakers: Father John Dear on the Beatitudes 7pm Thursday 31st March at Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church, London WC2H 8EP.   Free but book your place at www.ekklesia.co.uk/events  Father John is an internationally known voice for peace and non-violence.  He was recently nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

As usual the lunches are at St Bernard’s Hall; gather at 12.30pm for 1.00pm. Make a note of the dates now and look out for the notices on the church notice boards.

PARISH SPRING LUNCH – SUNDAY 10TH APRIL – at St. Bernard’s Church Hall, gathering from 12.30pm for lunch at 1.00 pm. All arrangements will be as for the previous lunches: soft drinks will be provided but please bring your own alcoholic drinks; pre-booking is not required – just come along if you wish; there is no charge but there will be a voluntary donations basket. Everyone is welcome – from all corners of the parish
