ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – “Exposition takes place every Friday morning at Our Lady & St Peter’s between 09:00-1:00pm. Come let us adore Him.”

REFRESHMENTS – Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS – The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate. Please consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS – can be taken out at anytime throughout the year. It is a valuable source of additional income for the parish with no extra cost to the parishioners.

2nd COLLECTION NEXT WEEK  – Diocesan Lourdes Pilgrimage Fund.  Can be gift-aided using their envelopes.

SUSAN MURPHY RIP –  Susan will be received into the Church for a short vigil service on Monday at 4pm.  Her requiem mass will be on Tuesday 11am at OLSP.  Then she will be interred with John at Mt. Noddy.

PARISH 100 CLUB  – If you are a January cash/cheque subscriber, please will you renew your membership now via Chris or £20 enveloped into the sacristy. Thank you.

ACCOMMODATION REQUIRED –  Mother and small child shortly to return from France to England following a difficult situation.  They are urgently in need of rented accommodation in the Forest Row area.  If you are able to help with this need please phone Mrs Janet Broderick-Ward on 01424  830747.

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION GROUPS – EAST GRINSTEAD AND WORTH ABBEY –  In East Grinstead our weekly meetings are held each Thursday from 7.30-8.30pm in the Parish Centre (WEATHER PERMITTING).  In Worth Abbey, meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 7.45 until 8.45 in the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament.  For further details of dates, please see leaflet at back of church.  For more information please contact Gabrielle Joyce on 01342 326118.

Lampedusa Cross Service  – at the Worth Abbey Church in support of refugees on Friday 3 February at 8pm.  It is an ecumenical and inclusive service.  Part of any donations after the service will come to Refugees Welcome – Crawley and there will be a stall in the Narthex to talk to people about the Group after the service.

FOREST ROW ORCHESTRA SPRING CONCERT  –  Saturday 4th February 2017, 11am.

Forest  Row Village Hall; Lewes Road, Forest Row RH18 5ES.

Conductor:  Roland Millar;  Soloist: Alexandra Marshall

Adults £6.00, Children £1.00.  Refreshments will be served in the interval.  The proceeds of this concert will go towards St. Catherine’s Hospice, Crawley.  See poster on noticeboard.

“SVP  –  Dear parishioners, there are now several Catholics living at Forest Lodge, Portland Road, East Grinstead, and there is a need to provide lifts to Sunday 10.30am  Mass.  If anyone is able to give a lift from there on Sunday mornings, my intention is to set up a rota, as we do with other ministries.  If you are able to help please ring me, Peter Wells on 01342 811543.  Leave a message if necessary.”

Women’s World Day of Prayer  – Friday 3 March “Am I being Unfair to you?” The service has been prepared by the Women of the Philippines and appropriately Our Lady and St Peter’s will be hosting it at 10.30am and 8pm. Everyone welcome.  Refreshaments after each service.

DATE FOR YOUR DIARY: PARISH SPRING LUNCH: 12TH MARCH – in St. Bernard’s Hall.  Gathering at 12.30pm for 1.00pm.  Usual arrangements: no need to book, just turn up; no charge but a voluntary donations basket; soft drinks provided with the meal, but bring your own alcoholic drinks if desired.

EG Foodbank –  requiries donations of the following Long life milk (green), tins or cartons of custard, long-life fruit juice, tissues small (packets and boxes), small packs of toilet rolls (2 and 4 Packs), pasta sauce, tinned custard, tinned tomatoes.  Please leave at church or take to Jubilee Community Centre in Charlwood Road.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE –  is desperately short of blankets, sleeping bags and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when it is full. Toilet rolls, UHT milk, sponge puddings, sugar and tinned meat are particularly required at present but any tinned and packet food is welcome plus tea and coffee.  Please leave donated items at the back of the church at Our Lady and St Peter’s and at St Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes to be taken to OLSP, or taken directly to COH near Three Bridges in Crawley.
