REFRESHMENTS –  Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St. Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS –  The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate.  Please consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS –  can be taken out at anytime throughout the year.  It is a valuable source of additional income or the parish with no extra cost to the parishioners

EAST GRINSTEAD CATENIANS  –  The East Grinstead Circle of the Catenian Association will meet at the Dorset Arms, High Street, East Grinstead on Monday,19th March at 8.00p.m.  Members are also reminded that there are still spaces available for the visit to The Hawth on 12 April and for the Skittles Evening at Balcombe on 27 April. The Catenian Association is an international brotherhood of practising Catholic laymen who meet socially, at least once a month. LENT RECONCILIATION SERVICE  –  Tuesday 27th (Holy Week) 7.30pm OLSP.  An opportunity to prepare for Easter.

EASTER REMEMBRANCE BOOK  –  The Easter Remembrance Book is open at the back of St. Bernard’s for you to include the names of your deceased loved ones.  The book and names will be placed before the Altar at the Masses during the Easter Season and those included will be prayed for during Mass.

MISSION TODAY MAGAZINE – Complimentary copies of the Spring edition (yes, it is coming) are available from the church table at OL&StP for Missio red box holders and all parishioners who would like to have one.

LOURDES PILGRIMAGE BOXES – (Our traditional Lent alms project) will be available at the back for you to take home.

Lourdes Pilgrimage 2018 – forms for this year’s pilgrimage from 26 July – 3 August are now available online from www.ablourdes.org     (helpers, doctors, nurses and able pilgrims).  If you require paper copies please ring the Pilgrimage Office on 01403 740110.  Redshirts (years 10 and 11) apply by 28 March on the same website.

EASTER RETREAT FOR 18-35s AT WORTH ABBEY  –  Worth Abbey and The Wellspring Community invite young adults (ages 18-35) to celebrate the Easter Triduum (29th March-1st April) with a retreat at Worth Abbey. Over the Easter Triduum young adults from across the UK will be gathering to celebrate the Death and Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The retreat will be centred around participation in the Triduum liturgy from Maundy Thursday to Easter Sunday, with a programme of talks by the monks, discussion, prayer & reflection and fellowship. Leading up to the retreat, you are welcome to be part of a ‘Cross Walk’- a group of young adults and monks who will walk to Worth from Arundel, across the beautiful South Downs, carrying the cross. We will begin the walk on Palm Sunday (25th March) and arrive at Worth on Maundy Thursday (29th March). Booking forms are now available. Please contact [email protected] [email protected]. DAY FOR YOUTH LEADERS AND CATECHISTS – INSPIRE 2018  –  On Saturday May 12th, there will be a day for youth leaders, Confirmation catechists and young adult ministers, as well as anybody who is interested. The day will be delivered ‘TED Style’ with six great speakers each giving a short 20-minute talk. We’re delighted to have Will Desmond from Sion/ theASCENT, Father Nick Crowe from the Dominicans, Lizzie Wakeling, Toby Harman, and others. A fantastic  line-up! Bishop Richard will also be with us for the first part of the day. It’s all happening at St Joseph’s Church, Redhill on Saturday May 12th from 10am to 3.30pm. DATE FOR YOUR DIARY  –  The Parish Spring Lunch will be held in St. Bernard’s Church Hall on Sunday 13th May, gathering at 12.30pm for 1.00pm as usual.

The Great Adventure is running at Worth Abbey  –  from the 18-20th May for all those in year 7-9. Over the weekend we are going to be exploring the idea that the journey of discipleship is a great adventure that we are each called to through workshops, input, prayer, worship and a whole lot of fun! EG Foodbank – Urgently required for Easter Lunchbox Scheme for children; Tinned fruit, Little Easter Eggs – Cadbury’s Creme egg size or packets of Cadbury’s Mini eggs types.  Not boxed eggs (the multi-boxes of creme eggs can be split), Hot dogs & Meatballs,Chopped tomatoes.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE – welcomes sleeping bags, blankets, and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the Door when the Centre is full.  In addition tinned and packet food is welcome as well as coffee, tea and sugar. Please leave donated items at the back of church at OLSP and St. Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes also be donated at both churches, or taken directly to COH at Three Bridges.  Tel: 01293 447702.
