ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – “Exposition takes place every Friday morning at Our Lady & St Peter’s at 09:00am and the Holy Rosary follows at 12:00pm. Come let us adore Him.”

REFRESHMENTS – Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St. Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS – Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate.  Please consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS – can be taken out   –  at anytime throughout the year.  It is a valuable source of additional income for the parish with no extra cost to the parishioners.

FRIDAY ADORATION  –   Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is now back for the New Year at OL&StP  church each Friday morning, 09:00-12:00, followed by the Holy Rosary at midday.  Just pop in for any time that might suit you, everybody is welcome.

LITURGY OF THE WORD FOR CHILDREN  –   The next Liturgy of the Word for Children is next Sunday  20th Jan.  –  Sunday 2C – “The Wedding.”

Justice and Peace Assembly – Human trafficking: slavery on our doorstep to be held at The St Philip Howard Centre (formerly DABCEC) 4 Southgate Drive, Crawley on Saturday 26 January from 9.30-3.30pm. Learn about the slave trade hidden right under your nose and how you can help those affected. With guest speakers from local, national and international organisations working to stop human trafficking.

20p feeds a baby for a day! –  By popular demand Lingfield SVP are running another Jazz Night on Saturday 9th February 7.00-10.30. Venue Jubilee Community Centre East Grinstead. Tickets £15 including a Fish & Chips supper. There will also be a bar and a raffle. Tickets available from Lala (01342 327222) Angeline (01342 832665) or Enrique (07824 098276). Every ticket sold helps to feed a baby in Sudan so come & have a great evening & help save the lives of children too.

World Peace  Day –  Peace Sunday, promoted by Pope Francis and international organisation, Pax Christi, is on Sunday 20 January.  The theme is Good politics serves peace.  There is much useful information, prayers and reflections on Pax Christi’s website; the organisation has a long history of promoting conflict-resolution and sharing the Gospel of Peace. EG Foodbank – require the following items:  tinned peas, carrots and potatoes, pasta sauce (jars), tinned meatballs and pasta hoops, surface cleaner, longlife milk Green 1 litre, tissues (small boxes), longlife fruit juice 1 litre, toilet paper -small two rolls, washing powder or liquid – small.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE   –  people keep asking about the current funding crisis and what they can do to help. In response COH has launched its ‘Be 1 in 1000’ regular donors scheme aiming to build a community of 1000 local people giving £10 per month, which would be such a huge help in safeguarding its work with the homeless and marginalised and the dedicated people who deliver it.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE   –  welcomes sleeping bags, blankets, and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when the Centre is full.  In addition tinned and packet food is welcome as well as coffee, tea and sugar.  Please leave donated items at the back of church at OLSP and St. Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes also be donated at both churches, or taken directly to COH at Three Bridges.  Tel: 01293 447702.
