ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT –  “Exposition takes place every Friday morning at Our Lady & St Peter’s between 09:00-12:00pm.  Come let us adore Him.”

REFRESHMENTS –  Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St. Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS –  The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate.  Please consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS –  can be taken out at anytime throughout the year.  It is a valuable source of additional income or the parish with no extra cost to the parishioner

Parish Proj – Refurbishment of Bell  –  Refurbishment of the Bell will be carried out on Monday 17 June and Thursday 20th June and consequently Mass will be held in the Parish Hall and the Church will be closed to visitors on both of those days.  It is anticipated that the Bell will be fully operational for Masses the following weekend after refurbishment has been completed.

2ND COLLECTION TODAY  –  Day For Life.  Thank you.

WEEKDAY MASSES  –  will take place in the Hall at OLSP until further notice.

1ST HOLY COMMUNIONS  –  next Saturday 11am at OLSP;  next Sunday (Corpus Christi) at St. Bernard’s   9am.

BAPTISMS  –  OLSP  12.30 next Sunday.

REFRESHMENTS AFTER 10:30 MASS AT OL&StP  – this Sunday are deferred due to the Parish Social.

THE PARISH LUNCHTIME SOCIAL  – is this weekend, Sunday, 16th June. Venue is the Meridian Hall at East Court, East Grinstead, 12:30-3:00, and we are all invited.  Everything will be complimentary.  

THANK YOU –  The East Grinstead Catenians would like to thank all those who supported last week’s Family Quiz Night, either by attending or by donating cash or a raffle prize. £850 was raised and is being presented to the parish to help fund the refurbishment work on Our Lady & St Peter’s.

Cake & Plant Sale – £300 was raised for Cavendish House – thank you for your support. If possible, please drop back to OLSP large pots after use – leave by church sign. 

MISSIO RED BOXES – Would OL&STP box holders please bring their boxes to church for the mid-year count.  Please bring your box to the sacristy, don’t leave it anywhere else in the church. If your box is normally counted at home, this will happen as usual.  Thank You.

THANK YOU from the Altar Society  –  to parents of our 1st Holy Communion children for your generosity towards the floral displays at both special Masses.  We join with the Parish in wishing the children many blessings.

Thanks  –  to all who supported the Spring Charity Feast.  £1554 was made from the 2 meals and together with the £1000 from Barclays makes a total of £2554.  So each of the 5 charities will receive £518.20.

Our Lady & St Peter’s – Refurbishment  Project — Temporary Access Through Side Gate. Our contractor may occasionally erect signs directing parishioners and visitors to access the Church via the single gate.  This arrangement will mainly apply during the week, for weekday Masses and will enable the contractor to use the double gates for his deliveries. Now that the Project is underway please take care accessing the Church and observe signs erected by our contractor.

EAST GRINSTEAD CATENIANS  –  The East Grinstead Circle of the Catenian Association will meet at the Dorset Arms, High Street, East Grinstead on Monday, 17th June at 8.00 p.m. Members are also reminded of the vineyard visit / wine tasting on 23rd June and ‘President’s Sunday’ on 30th June. OUR LADY & ST PETERS LUNCH CLUB –  Our Summer Outing this month is to Knights Garden Centre near Oxted for Afternoon Tea on Wednesday 19th June.  The pick up time is 1.45 for the Afternoon Tea.  Transport has been arranged for those attending and your Driver will contact you with details of pick-up times.  Please ring Ivy (323240) of Jean (311295) if you have any questions.  

Lingfield SVP – 20p Feeds a baby for a day – Our next event is a Summer Lunch to be held on Sunday 14th of July at 13.00 at St Bernard’s Hall. This is a ticketed lunch costing £10 per adult or £25 for a family of four, soft drinks will be provided but feel free to bring your own alcohol. Again, it is in aid of the SVP baby feeding programme in Sudan. Tickets will be on sale at the back of the Church from 15th/16th of June or contact Mary Goodwin 07767 335001, or Enrique 07824 098276.

Climate Change  Rally – Wednesday 26 June –  CAFOD are inviting parishoners to come along to this important event in London.  The march to Parliament will be from 1pm-4pm (Trafalgar Square to Parliament).  Further details are available from  cafod.org.uk/Campaign/Climate/Climate-lobby. ; There are inter-faith events being held as well.  If anyone would like to join a group going please contact Sue Joy, 01342 835190.

Justice and Peace Group – please note the date for this year’s Sleep Out will be overnight on Saturday 29 June. Money raised will go to Crawley Open House, Turning Tides and The Easter Team. If anyone would like to Sleep Out or help with the street collection on the morning of the 29th please contact Sue Joy. 01342 835190.  Sponsorship sign up forms will be available at the beginning of June.

S.V.P – at Lingfield are doing “Cake Sale” on the Sunday the 30th of June in aid of the “Baby feeding station” in the Sudan. 

EG Foodbank – needs Long Life 1 litre fruit juice, Pasta 500g bags, tinned pasta (hoops), jars of pasta sauce, tinned fruit, jars of jam, tinned custard and washing powder/liquid – smallpacks.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE  – welcomes sleeping bags, blankets, and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when the Centre is full.  In addition tinned and packet food is welcome as well as coffee, tea and sugar.  Please leave donated items at the back of church at OLSP and St. Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes also be donated at both churches, or taken directly to COH at Three Bridges.  Tel: 01293 447702.
