S.V.P  –  at Lingfield  –  are doing “Cake Sale” this Sunday the 30th of June in aid of the “Baby feeding station” in the Sudan. 

COUNTED MISSIO RED BOXES   – Would OL&StP  box holders please collect their counted boxes from the window sill close to the choir loft door.  Boxes for counting are still welcome, please bring them to the sacristy.   

Fairtrade Big Brew at St Peter’s School – 1.30pm-3pm on Wednesday 3 July. All welcome.  There will be a Fairtrade stall after school. 

Justice and Peace Group –  meet next at 7.30pm at Moat Church on Tuesday 9 July. There is a need for new and younger members from the Catholic community as our current Group Members, once very active, are now getting older.  Social justice is a key message of the Catholic Church – God’s love in action. The J&P group is now in its 30th year and has achieved a lot in its lifetime – please help us to keep moving forward.  Come along to our meeting and see what is going on. Helping young people help others  –  Are you (or do you know) a young Catholic (aged 16-24) who would like to volunteer to help others? Every year the Catenian Bursary Fund supports young Catholics from all over the world who volunteer to do something wonderful and help those less fortunate than themselves…across the globe.  Whether this is on an individual project, or with others – or even if you are planning to travel to Lourdes or on the Jumbulance to help an assisted pilgrim – the Bursary Fund may be able to help you to achieve your aims. This is a ticketed lunch costing £10 per adult or £25 for a family of four, soft drinks will be provided but feel free to bring your own alcohol. Again, it is in aid of the SVP baby feeding programme in Sudan. Mon 2 September  Charity meal  –  raising money for the church restoration at the Gurkha@the Woodcock Inn – £20 for a 3 course meal – £8 will go to the restoration fund.  Arrive 6.45pm for a 7.15pm start.  Please phone 01342 325325 to book your places.

The Autumn Charity Feast for October  –  has been organised and the meals will be at the Turkish restaurant Quartol, the 2 italian restaurants Paglia e fieno and Hay and straw and the Nepalese restaurant  the Gurkha.  More details of these meals next month.

Sleep Out – overnight Saturday 29th – please keep us in your prayers.  Thank you for sponsorship so far pledged. Late donations still accepted and welcome!  Recipients will be Crawley Open House, The Easter Team and Turning Tides – all helping homeless and disadvantaged people locally.

EG Foodbank – needs Jars of pasta source, chocolate biscuit bars (Penguin type), Washing powder/Liquid (small),   Surface cleaner, tissues (small packets), tinned ham, tinned custard, tinned fruit, tinned chopped tomatoes and Good condition “Bags for Life” to reuse.  Thank you.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE  – welcomes sleeping bags, blankets, and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when the Centre is full.  In addition tinned and packet food is welcome as well as coffee, tea and sugar.  Please leave donated items at the back of church at OLSP and St. Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes also be donated at both churches, or taken directly to COH at Three Bridges.  Tel: 01293 447702.
