ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – “Exposition takes place every Friday morning at Our Lady & St Peter’s between 09:00-1:00pm.  Come let us adore Him.”

REFRESHMENTS – Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St. Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS – The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate.  Pleas e consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS – can be taken out at any time throughout the year.  It is a valuable source of additional income for the parish with no extra cost to the parishioners.

WE WELCOME  –  Fr. Carl Davies, celebrating the 6.15pm Vigil Mass; and Fr. Kevin OSB celebrating the 9am and 10.30am Mass.

THANK YOU FROM THE REDSHIRTS  –  We would like to say a big thank you to the Parish for their wonderful support on Monday evening at the fundraising meal to help us go to Lourdes. Special thanks to La Farola for kindly hosting a very enjoyable evening with their lovely Tapas menu. Thank you to Father Steven & Pat, to the Catenians, Nicholas Castiglione for all his advice, and to all of the Parishioners who came along, as well as those who made generous donations whilst not being able to attend.  We raised around £900 and are especially grateful for all the good wishes to help us on our journey next week. Many thanks from Aisling, Alex, Andrea, Fran & Grace.

Sleep Out sponsorship – thanks to all parishioners who have paid up their dues so promptly, so far in excess of £600.  If you still owe money and don’t see anyone collecting after Masses please put your money in an envelope with your name on it and hand it to Father Steven. Thank you for your support.

COUNTED MISSIO RED BOXES  –  Would red box holders at OL&StP please collect their counted boxes from the windowsill close to the choir loft door. If you brought your box without your name on it, some spare boxes are included, please take one. Thank you for your generosity, to date over £900 has been banked from the current appeal.

EAST GRINSTEAD CATENIANS  –  The East Grinstead Circle of the Catenian Association will meet at the Dorset Arms, High Street, East Grinstead on Monday, 24th July at 8.00 p.m.  Members are also reminded that there are still spaces available for the Bowls afternoon at Mount Noddy on Sunday 6th August. The Catenian Association is an international brotherhood of practising Catholic laymen who meet socially, at least once a month.To find out more on the Catenian Association. please call Bill Blackledge on 01342 317599  or visit http://www.egcats.co.uk

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION GROUPS – East Grinstead- the final meeting before the Summer break will be on THURSDAY 13th July. Worth Abbey – the final meeting before the Summer break will be on WEDNESDAY 26th July.  Meetings will recommence in September.

Cream Tea fundraiser for Refugees  –  this event, organised by the Catholic Women’s League will be held from 3-5pm on Sunday 20 August at Old Town House Garden, Church Road, Lingfield, serviesRH7 6AH. Cost: £5.  Funds are in aid of Crawley Refugee Welcome Group of which EG is a part.  There are two Syrian families living in or near EG who have arrived here under the United Nations HCR/UK Government agreement to help vulnerable people resettle and have a future. Other Syrian families live in Crawley. Funds are needed for a whole variety of reasons including driving licenses, driving tests, furniture, trans service. etc.  Please ring Sue Joy 01342 835190or email [email protected]  if you would like to attend so that CWL has some idea of numbers.

EG Foodbank – requires custard, jam, rice pudding, tinned fruit, tinned tomatoes, pasta sauce, longlife milk green, j cloths, size 6 nappies and kitchen roll Bring to church or take straight to Jubilee Community Centre, or Sainsbury’s, Waitrose or Barclays Bank.  Thank you.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE – welcomes blankets, sleeping bags and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when it is full.  Toilet rolls, UHT milk, sponge puddings, sugar and tinned meat are particularly required at present but any tinned and packet food is welcome plus tea and coffee.  Please leave donated items at the back of the church at Our Lady and St. Peter’s and at St. Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes to be taken to OLSP, or taken directly to COH near Three Bridges in Crawley.  Tel: 01293 447702.  Alternatively, if you prefer, please leave a cash contribution in the basket and  the SVP will purchase items on your behalf.  Thank you.
