ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – “Exposition takes place every Friday morning at Our Lady & St Peter’s between 09:00-1:00pm.  Come let us adore Him.”

REFRESHMENTS – Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St. Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS – The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate.  Pleas e consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS – can be taken out at any time throughout the year.  It is a valuable source of additional income for the parish with no extra cost to the parishioners.

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION – EAST GRINSTEAD and WORTH ABBEY  –  We are now taking a SUMMER BREAK until September.

COUNTED MISSIO RED BOXES  –  Would red box holders at OL&StP please collect their counted boxes from the windowsill close to the choir loft door. If you brought your box without your name on it, some spare boxes are included, please take one. Thank you for your generosity, to date over £900 has been banked from the current appeal.

Sleep Out sponsorship – thanks to all parishioners who have paid up their dues so promptly, so far in excess of £600.  If you still owe money and don’t see anyone collecting after Masses please put your money in an envelope with your name on it and hand it to Father Steven. Thank you for your support.

Cream Tea fundraiser for Refugees  –  this event, organised by the Catholic Women’s League will be held from 3-5pm on Sunday 20 August at Old Town House Garden, Church Road, Lingfield,RH7 6AH. Cost: £5.  Funds are in aid of Crawley Refugee Welcome Group of which EG is a part.  There are two Syrian families living in or near EG who have arrived here under the United Nations HCR/UK Government agreement to help vulnerable people resettle and have a future. Other Syrian families live in Crawley. Funds are needed for a whole variety of reasons including driving licenses, driving tests, furniture, translation servies. etc.  Please ring Sue Joy 01342 835190or email [email protected]  if you would like to attend so that CWL has some idea of numbers.

EG Foodbank – requires cartons of fruit juice, small packs of washing powder, washing up liquid, adult toothbrushes, shampoo, shaving foam/gel & razors (both male and female), deodorants -men. Bring to church or take straight to Jubilee Community Centre, or Sainsburys, Waitrose or Barclays Bank. Thank you.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE – welcomes blankets, sleeping bags and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when it is full.  Toilet rolls, UHT milk, sponge puddings, sugar and tinned meat are particularly required at present but any tinned and packet food is welcome plus tea and coffee.  Please leave donated items at the back of the church at Our Lady and St. Peter’s and at St. Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes to be taken to OLSP, or taken directly to COH near Three Bridges in Crawley.  Tel: 01293 447702.  Alternatively, if you prefer, please leave a cash contribution in the basket and  the SVP will purchase items on your behalf.  Thank you.
