ST.  PETER’S GOVERNORS  –  The Governors of St. Peter’s have produced a newsletter of their activities, now available on the school website under ‘Governors’.  In addition to explaining what they are doing this year, they are requesting that parents (and past parents!) help to contribute to the cost of school projects.  By law, we as parents and catholic community, have to find 10% of all school project costs.  Please consider paying what you can to support the much needed school improvements that will support our goal of becoming an ‘Outstanding’ school at the next OFSTED inspection.  The Governors are also holding an informal coffee drop in at the school hall from 09:20 to 10:00 on Thursday 7th July at the school.  Come with your ideas and suggestion and just to meet us!

MISSIO RED BOXES  –  Please will OL&StP red box holders bring their boxes to church for mid-year counting. Please deliver them to the sacristy, don’t leave them elsewhere. If your box is normally counted at home, this will happen as usual, or if you would like to have it collected, just ring Chris and Margaret on 327002.Thank you.

PARISH LUNCHES  –  The Parish Lunches have been taking place over the past 10 years and have numbered approximately 35 with between 70  –  95 parishioners attending each one.  They have been very successful and have brought together people from all areas of the parish.  However the present team are not getting any younger and although we have some new younger members on the team, we are looking for more new faces who would be willing to take over from the present team in due course.  If you feel you would like to help in the preparation and serving of these lunches or would like more information on what is involved, please contact Geraldine Rider (835110/832283).  Many thanks.

PARISH  MAGAZINE  – We are planning to have an issue of the Magazine before the school holidays – that is, early July – so we will need contributions by the end of June. News from parish organizations, societies, clubs, etc., articles related in some way to the history of our parish or to the church in general, descriptions of pilgrimages, etc., as well as other contributions, poems, etc. are all very welcome.   Also, please be sure to let me know if any of the entries for Parish Organizations on the inside back cover need to be changed (names, telephone numbers, times or places of meetings). If a group has a presence online (webpage, Facebook, twitter…), then you may wish to give a link to that there as well.   Submissions can be emailed to me at [email protected]   Alternatively, contributions can be addressed to Klara King and left on the table at the back of the church.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE – is desperately short of blankets, sleeping bags and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when it is full. Tel: 01293 447702. Alternatively, if you prefer, please leave a cash contribution in the basket and the SVP will purchase items on your behalf. Thank you.
