EAST GRINSTEAD CATENIANS  – The 10.30 mass this Sunday (3 July) is being offered for the President and Brothers of the East Grinstead Circle of the Catenian Association. This is an international brotherhood of practising Catholic laymen who meet socially, at least once a month. The Circle enables its members to provide each other – and their families – with mutual support, based on the shared values of their Catholic belief and practice.  Many social events, including an annual lunch which will follow today’s mass, are also open to members’ wives and families. To find out more, please speak to one of the many East Grinstead Catenians who will be at the 10.30 mass, call Bill Blackledge on 01342 317599 or visit http://www.egcats.co.uk/

CRUCIFIX FOUND  –  Mr. Paul Welsh of CARGO Spares Ltd, Abbey street, IIkeston, DE7 8DN 0115 9443 521.  He buys and breaks Light commercial vehicles and he came across a Beautiful Crucifix in a vehicle.  Being Catholic he is eager to try and trace this crucifix and return it to its owner or original place.  On the rear of the Crucifix, it bears an inscription;- “To the memory of FRANK HOLDER of Brighton 1882-1967 and EDITH GERTRUDE WHITE of East Grinstead 1887-1972”.  If anyone knows anything about this please contact Mr. Welsh.

COUNTED MISSIO RED BOXES  – Thank you for boxes received, please collect your counted box from the windowsill close to the choir loft door. Boxes for counting will still be appreciated, please deliver them into the sacristy rather than leave them anywhere else in church.

ST.  PETER’S GOVERNORS  –  The Governors of St. Peter’s have produced a newsletter of their activities, now available on the school website under ‘Governors’.  In addition to explaining what they are doing this year, they are requesting that parents (and past parents!) help to contribute to the cost of school projects.  By law, we as parents and catholic community, have to find 10% of all school project costs.  Please consider paying what you can to support the much needed school improvements that will support our goal of becoming an ‘Outstanding’ school at the next OFSTED inspection.  The Governors are also holding an informal coffee drop in at the school hall from 09:20 to 10:00 on Thursday 7th July at the school.  Come with your ideas and suggestion and just to meet us!

BAPTISM  SATURDAY  –  12.30 OLSP  Matilda Grace Drake.

PARISH  MAGAZINE  – The deadline for the Magazine has been extended to 12 July, in the hope of being able to have an issue before the start of the summer holidays. So if you have something to contribute, on the part of a society or group, or otherwise, there is still some time to write it up.  Also please be sure to double check the list on the inside cover, in case any changes are necessary.  And if any group has a presence online and you want people to access it, you may wish to add a link to this. Submissions can be left at the back of the church, addressed to Klara King, but, if possible, I would be grateful if they could be emailed to me at: [email protected]
