Reconciliation (Confession)

SICK/HOUSEBOUND VISITS –  requests for visits and for Holy Communion in the Lingfield area – contact Deacon Ted.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT –  “Exposition takes place every Friday morning at Our Lady & St Peter’s between 09:00-1:00pm.  Come let us adore Him.”

REFRESHMENTS –  Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St. Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS –  The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate.  Pleas e consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS –  can be taken out at anytime throughout the year.  It is a valuable source of additional income for the parish with no extra cost to the parishioners.

1^ST HOLY COMMUNION PARENTS MEETING  –  8pm, Wednesday OLSP.

LOURDES LENTEN BOXES – If you held a Lourdes box over Lent, please will you now return it for counting.  Please only return your box to the sacristy or hand it direct to Father Steven or Deacon Ted. Thank you.

Catholic Women’s League  –  are holding their usual annual National Coffee Morning today Sunday 30th April after Mass in the parish centre.  Cakes, plants, books and brick-a-brac will be on sale to raise money for our charities at Christmas. Your support would be appreciated. Thank you.

PRIVATE BENEFIT RECITAL IN AID OF MUSIC STUDENT  –  Bank Holiday Monday 1st May, 5pm at The Old Convent, East Grinstead, organised by parishioner Valeria Martinelli to help promising young baritone Jacob Bettinelli raise funds to pay his Royal College of Music fees.  £20 per person.  For more information contact [email protected]  – 07719 785269.

CHRISTIAN  MEDITATION GROUPS –  in East Grinstead we meet each Thursday from 7.30-8.30 pm, in the Parish Centre/Church Hall at Our Lady and St Peter.  At Worth Abbey we meet each 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday of the month, from 7.45-8.45 pm, in the Chapel of The Blessed Sacrament, in the Abbey Church. Rich Man Poor Man lunch  –  ticket sales for this event on Sunday 7 May at St Bernard’s parish Hall are not going as fast as we hoped!! PLEASE come along and support our young helpers going on the Diocesan Pilgrimage this summer so they help care for assisted and disabled pilgrims.  We also require raffle prizes so any donations gratefully received.  Ticket sales after all Masses this weekend and next or contact Sue Joy asap. 01342 835190.   Thank you.

LONDON MOON WALK  –  Mary Thomas  and her daughter Karla from St. Bernard’s and Teresa Ruttley from OLSP are participating in the London Moon Walk on 13^th May 2017.  It’s the length of a full marathon (26.2 miles) and takes place at night.  They are raising money for Breast Cancer.  Mary and Teresa both work together at the Queen Victoria Hospital as Twilight Nurses and have known each other for many years.  Having worked with cancer patients both felt supporting this Charity was a great cause and it is a one off event.  If you would like to sponsor us please either see us after mass or use our online links.  Thank you.

OUR LADY & ST PETERS LUNCH CLUB  –  will meet on Wednesday 17th May at 12.15 pm.  Please ring Ivy (323240) or Jean (311295) or your driver if you are not able to come.

CAKE & PLANT SALE  – The Gospel of Life Group’s sale takes place after Mass over the weekend of 3/4 June at OLSP.   Proceeds will be used to pay for additional planting in the end of season garden tidy-up exercise at the LIFE homes in West Sussex.  As a small group we are always very grateful for any donations of cakes, plants or related goods from parishioners.  If you would like to support the event in that way please let me know.  Les Whittaker (315484).

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE –  is desperately short of blankets, sleeping bags and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when it is full.  Toilet rolls, UHT milk, sponge puddings, sugar and tinned meat are particularly required at present but any tinned and packet food is welcome plus tea and coffee.  Please leave donated items at the back of the church at Our Lady and St. Peter’s and at St. Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes to be taken to OLSP, or taken directly to COH near Three Bridges in Crawley.  Tel. 01293 447702.  Alternatively, if you prefer, please leave a cash contribution in the basket and the SVP will purchase items on your behalf.  Thank you.
