Trisha and I – were told by our Oncologist last week that my cancer treatment for bone cancer has been successful and as a result I am now miraculously free from that cancer.

For my other cancer,Prostate – this is now under control by medication and being monitored. This makes my situation much improved.

We should like to thank everyone for their prayers, letters, cards, gifts and visits both to the hospital and at home.

We shall be arranging for a Mass in favour of the many friends who have given their best wishes for my recovery.

Jim Fitzpatrick.

Parish Magazine –  this year, the aim is to have an issue of the Magazine before Christmas – ideally by the beginning of Advent – so we will need contributions by early November.  As the last issue was at Easter, it would be good to catch up with everything that has happened since then (First Holy Communion, Confirmation, the school, fetes, outings etc.), as well as plans for the winter and for Christmas, along with any other news from parish organizations, societies, clubs, etc. Other contributions, poems, etc. are all very welcome. Submissions should ideally be emailed to me at  [email protected]. Alternatively, they can be left at the back of the church, addressed to Klara King.

INTERNSHIP : dabcec – The Pastoral Team at DABCEC is now able to offer an internship for a maximum period of one year. This Internship scheme builds on two recent successful experiences and is designed both to assist the Pastoral Team in its work but also to ensure that participants receive a valuable and rewarding experience, with benefits for their personal and professional development. For further details of terms, conditions and remuneration, please contact Deacon Andrew Bayes, Pastoral Team Coordinator, at Dabcec, by telephone 01293 651150 or via email: [email protected].
