ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT – “Exposition takes place every Friday morning at Our Lady & St Peter’s between 09:00-1:00pm. Come let us adore Him.”

REFRESHMENTS – Everybody is cordially invited for refreshments after Sunday Mass at both St Bernard’s and Our Lady & St Peter’s churches.

WILLS & BEQUESTS – The Parish has benefited greatly in the past from the thoughtfulness of parishioners who have nominated the parish to receive funds from their estate. Please consider it.

GIFT AID OFFERINGS/DONATIONS – can be taken out at anytime throughout the year. It is a valuable source of additional income for the parish with no extra cost to the parishioners.

INDIAN MASS –  today(Sunday) 5pm at OLSP.

MANY THANKS –  to all who contributed to the Christmas services in any way – reading, ministering, decorating, singing etc.  The churches looked splendid and we had a record number attending.  Thanks too for the Christmas offertory and the various gifts and cards.  It is much appreciated. HIC!

Justice and Peace Group  –  meet at 7.30pm on Tuesday 10th January at Moat Church. All welcome.

COMING UP FOR WEEK OF PRAYER FOR CHRISTIAN UNITY  – dates for the diary.  The East Grinstead Churches mark the week at 12.30 Wednesday 18th with a service at Trinity Methodist Church.  The Lingfield – Dormansland Churches have a service at St. Bernard’s at 11am on Tuesday 17th.

OUR LADY & ST PETERS LUNCH CLUB   – We will not meet this month as two of our members have died -Joan Patry and Maureen Hull.

FUNERALS   –  Joan Patry 11am Requiem Mass  Wednesday 18th.

Maureen Hull  Requiem Mass 12 noon, Thursday 19th.

ADORATION  –  Adoration will continue as normal on Fridays 9-1pm over the Christmas and New Year period.

COUNTED MISSIO RED BOXES  –  Would OL&StP boxholders please collect their counted boxes from the windowsill close to the choir loft door.  Thank you for your generosity.

MISSION TODAY 2017 CALENDAR  – Complimentary copies of the calendar are available from the church table for Missio members and any parishioner who would like to have one.

CHRISTIAN MEDITATION GROUPS – EAST GRINSTEAD AND WORTH ABBEY –  In East Grinstead our weekly meetings are re starting on Thursday 12th January from 7.30-8.30pm in the Parish Centre.

In Worth Abbey, meetings on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month will be starting again on 11th January, from 7.45 until 8.45 in the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament.  For further details of dates, please see leaflet at back of church.  For more information please contact Gabrielle Joyce on 01342 326118.

ACCOMMODATION NEEDED  – Two Christian Romanian ladies working for a local Care Home are urgently seeking accommodation, ideally on the south side of the town.  Would you have a spare room and consider having one of them stay with you? NEW CARPET REMNANT  –  if you have admired the new carpet in the sanctuary, there is a remnant that might be of interest for use as a carpet square, dimensions approximately 8′ x 6′. If interested, please have a word with Chris Pond (327002).

Am I a good neighbour? Globalisation and the Fair Society This is the title of the 2017 Justice and Peace Assembly to be held from 10am-4pm on Sat 28 Jan. at the Christian Education Centre, Crawley. Bishop Richard will be attending and speakers include Fr Augusto Zampini Davies, Theological Adviser to CAFOD, and Jenny Sinclair, Founder and Director for the Common Good Project.  Bookings to Ruth Gerun. email [email protected] or tel 01293 651164. EG Foodbank –  requiries donations of the following Long life milk (green), tins or cartons of custard, long-life fruit juice, small packs of toilet rolls (2 pack and 4 pack please), pasta sauce, tins of peas and tins of carrots, tins of rice pudding, tinned sponge pudding, shaving foam both men and women’s.  Please leave at church or take to Jubilee Community Centre in Charlwood Road.

CRAWLEY OPEN HOUSE –  is desperately short of blankets, sleeping bags and flasks to give to homeless people who turn up at the door when it is full. Toilet rolls, UHT milk, sponge puddings, sugar and tinned meat are particularly required at present but any tinned and packet food is welcome plus tea and coffee.  Please leave donated items at the back of the church at Our Lady and St Peter’s and at St Bernard’s.  Larger items, including duvets and clothes to be taken to OLSP, or taken directly to COH near Three Bridges in Crawley.
